“P-40”

“P-40”

8×8″

Oil on canvas panel

The Curtis P-40, one of the most beautiful plane designs of the Second World War. It wasnt the fastest or most nimble of fighter planes but I have always loved the lines of this baby. The American Volunteer Group in China did an incredible job with this workhorse.

As you can see I added blue to the limited “Zorn” palette I’ve been using. Just gotta have blue for painting certain skies. I’ve decided to use Thalo Blue for a while. This is a very potent blue. A little dab will definitely do ya.
